I have just started my women’s studies course and I have already learned alot about myself. I realized that i am completely oblivious to the things happening around me. I didn’t think sexism was much of a problem anymore, granted i do fully acknowledge that i lead a very good life, I have a good job, but it’s all female employees so i havent experienced a glass ceiling there or anything, and i am going to TWU, where i am receiving an excellent communication. I have read that sexism is more prevalent among minorities, be it race, class, or income. So while I have felt that being a female is great in today’s world there are still women out there struggling for acceptance and their rights.
